Mark your calendars! Moroni City is delighted to announce that our very own Garth and Becky Kendall will be leading the charge as Grand Marshals for the July 4th Mammoth Parade!
As long-time residents and pillars of our community, Garth and Becky embody the spirit of Moroni. We can’t think of a better way to kick off our Independence Day celebrations than with them at the forefront. Come out and show your appreciation for the Kendalls as they wave to the crowd!

Becky Bradley Kendall was born June 2, 1951, in Laramie, Wyoming. She was adopted at the age of 5 by Raymond and Sheleth Bradley and lived in Battle Mountain, Nevada until the age of 12 when a tragic accident took the lives of her mother, father, brother and sister. She then moved to Moroni and was raised by her grandparents, Clifford and Rhea Bradley. Becky graduated from North Sanpete High School and attended school for one semester at Provo Technical College in dental assisting. She met Garth when she was a senior in high school, and they were married the year following graduation. She enjoys reading, hand sewing and enjoys watercolor painting and being with her family. Becky worked as a secretary for North Sanpete Middle school part time for Snow College Student Life department and after nine years retired as the Moroni City Recorder. An amazing fact about Becky is that she has been reunited with her birth mother, her full brother Steve and many half brothers and sisters and enjoys getting acquainted with each of them.
Garth Kendall was born April 26, 1946, in Moroni, Utah to Weldon and Hannah Kendall. He has 2 brothers (1 deceased) and 2 sisters. He has lived in Moroni all his life. Garth graduated from North Sanpete High School and served a 2-year mission in Ireland. He attended Snow College for 2 years. He then worked at Moroni Processing plant for more than 44 years in loading and refrigeration. Garth loves to grow a garden and works diligently in his yard, fighting morning glory and losing the battle! He enjoyed hunting with his dad, brothers and sons for many years. He now hunts with a camera and spotting scope. One of Garth’s hobbies has been to make arrow heads, looking for, picking and sharing wild asparagus, and pinenuts. He enjoys taking and sharing pictures of nature, friends and family. Garth has done a lot of service for the community over the years, especially helping the widows and widowers in Moroni, giving rides to the grocery stores and doing odd jobs in plumbing, etc. Garth served on the Moroni Fire Department for 10 years.
Garth and Becky have 5 children, 17 grandchildren and are awaiting their 3rd and 4th great grandchildren. Their family is the joy of their life!!
