Completion of Secondary Irrigation Metering & Upcoming Water Usage Monitoring
Moroni City is pleased to announce that our Secondary Irrigation Metering Project is rapidly approaching completion!
While a few remaining meters will be installed over the next few weeks, the main infrastructure phase of the project will officially wrap up by the end of this month. We sincerely appreciate the community’s patience, cooperation, and support as Public Works worked through this important infrastructure upgrade.
What to Expect Next:
- Daily Water Usage Portal (Coming Next Year): We are currently developing a new online portal that will allow residents to view both Culinary and Secondary Irrigation water usage on a daily basis. We anticipate rolling this tool out next year—keep an eye out for enrollment details and updates in 2027.
- Irrigation Billing Structure: As of the date of this notice, the Mayor and City Council have not finalized a date for transitioning to metered irrigation billing. The Council is currently evaluating options and projecting a potential implementation timeframe within the next two years.
